Phone Tree Guide

Thank you so much for calling Sojourns! For your convenience we have created diagrams to help you reach the most appropriate person when calling our main number. The first diagram you will see shows our 9 options for connecting to our various departments. The second diagram breaks down how to connect with your doctor. You will also see a note from our support staff further explaining the use of the urgent line.

A message from our support staff about connecting with your provider

Here at Sojourns, we strive to be readily available for your calls. This might mean you are looking for lab results, have a question for your doctor, need a refill on your prescription, or want to discuss a treatment plan.

It might also mean something more urgent like shortness of breath, chest pain, or an all over body rash.

Whatever your needs may be, we have phone lines for you to connect with our nursing staff. When you call our main number (802-722-4023), you will hear an option to speak to a nurse (option 4). After selecting option 4, you will be able to select an urgent option or options for your provider.

As a team that wants to respond to you in the most efficient way possible, we kindly ask that you use the line that leads you to the nurse of your provider for all non-urgent needs.

Your provider’s nurse’s goal is to answer the call live, but if you happen to get the voice mailbox, please leave your name, date of birth, and a detailed message as to why you are calling.

After selecting option 4, you will be able to select an urgent option or options for your provider.

We understand that your needs may feel urgent, but please trust that if you leave a message, your support staff member is triaging calls and responding accordingly based on urgency. Our support staff typically responds the same day, but please allow 1 business day to hear back for less urgent needs.

Please only use the urgent line, option 1, for urgent matters. This includes:

  • You have severe symptoms that have you questioning if you need to seek emergency care within the next hour.

  • You need medication that will severely impact your health if you do not have it that day.

  • You are at another facility to receive care and they do not have the order on file.

  • You feel unsettled with your mental health.

We encourage patients to also use their best judgment when using the urgent line and hope you can try to limit the calls to that line for others needing urgent care.

Our clinical support team thanks you!
