Access to quality healthcare is part of Sojourns' core practice philosophy. Recently, thanks in part to a generous grant from the Agnes M. Lindsay Trust, Sojourns has installed a stair chair to allow patients that were previously limited to the first floor access to the second.
Sojourns is continuously looking for ways to improve services and the addition of the stair chair allows anyone with difficulty getting up stairs, including clients suffering from acute injuries, chronic pain, or other ambulatory problems, the ability to reach our upstairs medical wing, lab, IV and blood draw rooms.
In addition to allowing us to better serve our clients, the new stair chair will also alleviate some of the challenges our nurses and medical staff have been facing in their efforts to accommodate the needs of clients who are unable to receive services on the 2nd floor of our building.
We are excited to be able to have this new functionality and appreciate the generous gift which helped in making it happen.
