New Year Cleanse

Annual New Year Cleanse with Chris Hastings, DC

I am going to be facilitating my yearly cleanse this January, my 16th year! There will be 4, one-hour classes, on Tuesday evenings from 6-7 pm via zoom and run from January 6-27.

The cleanse is based on the work of Alejandro Junger MD and his Clean Gut protocol. It is a 3-week cleanse involving an elimination diet, light intermittent fasting, protein shakes 2 times a day as meal replacements, and a supplement protocol.

I had some doubts about whether I was going to do it this year, recent hip surgery, fall malaise, and truthfully recent information on heavy metals and protein shakes (there are many companies that assay their materials, and many that don't), all had me questioning whether I wanted to continue. I do.

The bottom line is that I enjoy facilitating the class, I believe deeply in the efficaciousness of the cleanse and quite frankly, the discipline required to do it well. The data that I have collected over those 16 years has proven the efficaciousness, every health metric I've used has shown considerable improvement with the cleanse; the symptom survey forms completed by some 250 participants, my own pre and post bloodwork, the effects on my nervous system as measured by HRV, and most recently, the effect on my blood sugar with glucometer testing I did last year. Each metric improved significantly.

I look at this cleanse as on opportunity to learn, to fortify, to increase my resilience, and give my body a much-needed reset. Over the years I have learned that there is a lot of healing potential within a group. If you are interested in joining, let me know. The cost of the class will be $150. I'm still working on the supplement protocol so I don't have the price for that yet, but with meal replacement shakes for 42 meals and the supplements cost should be around $300.
