Kendall VanNostrand
Acupuncturist
The Feldenkrais Method®:
Kendall VanNostrand is a Licensed Acupuncturist specializing in 5 Element Taoist Acupuncture. 5 Element Acupuncture is a classical tradition of medicine based in ancient Chinese Taoism and incorporating aspects from Korean and Japanese traditions. Rooted in the laws of nature, this medicine works to reach the root cause of disease and support the healing of each individual.
Acupuncture has been successfully used for thousands of years to treat a wide array of health conditions, from acute pain and trauma to chronic conditions, psycho-emotional challenges, and everything in between. Treatment involves integrative East Asian diagnosis followed by the insertion of fine needles at specific points in the body, and may also include techniques such as moxabustion, gua sha, cupping, herbal medicine, qigong, and Chinese dietary therapy.
Kendall received her Masters of Acupuncture degree and certification in Chinese Herbal Medicine from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture and continues to devote significant time to deepening and refining her practice of East Asian medicine through ongoing training and mentorship. Prior to studying Chinese Medicine, Kendall practiced in the Western tradition of herbal medicine, initially training at the California School of Herbal Medicine, followed by training and apprenticeship with several master herbalists. She received a Bachelor of Science in Health Studies from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art & Cultural Studies from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study.
